Join the Coalition for the Improvement of Bedford Stuyvesant (CIBS) in partnership with Council Member Albert Vann and the Brooklyn Community Foundation for an all-day event that will bring together local residents, food justice advocates, urban farmers and gardeners, local businesses, schools, educators and community organizations to examine wellness and access to healthy foods in Bed-Stuy. Free and open to all ages!

11:00am-12:00pm Morning Workshops: Tour of Local Farmers' Market with Free Health Bucks; Basic Gardening; School Food Activism; How To Become Involved With Bed-Stuy’s Community Eco-Mapping Project; and How To Cook Fresh, Organic Baby Foods
12:00pm-2:00pm Free Catered Lunch, Guest Speakers, Mural Project and Zumba Exercise Demonstration
2:00-3:00pm Afternoon Workshops: Becoming A Bed-Stuy Healthy Food Advocate; Basic Composting Tips; Bringing the Farmers’ Market Home Cooking Demonstrations; and Fitness Demonstrations
3:00-4:00pm Exercising Demonstration, Shopping Matters Tour & Cooking Demonstrations
Free all-day events: Kids Gardening, Health Screenings, EBT/WIC Screenings, Nutrition Education, Mapping & Coloring Activities, Eco-Mapping Project, Super FoodTown Tours (starting at 1pm, every half hour), Free Give-Aways and Much More!
